Assist. Prof. Dr. Hikmet Bal received his Ph.D. (2019) and M.Sc. (2006) in Machine Theory and Dynamics from the Mechanical Engineering Department of Gazi University Faculty of Engineering, where he also completed his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering (2002). His doctoral research focused on vibration behavior of shaft-bearing systems in wind turbine, with considering Elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) effects. Dr. Bal has obtained extensive multidisciplinary professional experience, having served as technical staff for information technology systems, UAV technical staff and expert engineer and HVAC project engineer at government, army and industry. His research of interest includes multibody dynamics, mechanical system vibrations, vision systems, signal processing, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), data mining, and structural vibrations. He has participated as an investigator and researcher in numerous projects supported by TÜBİTAK, KOSGEB, and BAP funding programs. Dr. Bal has authored publications in peer-reviewed journals in his field of expertise.
